Storm Damage to Oak Tree caused by Cyclone Gabrielle
Grand Oak Tree had to be removed.
We’ve all experienced the intense storm on the 8th of February 2023 from Cyclone Gabrielle.
This very large English Oak Tree was a Waipa Council Protected Tree in Cambridge which sustained damage in the storm. A large crack had formed in the trunk of the tree 8 meters up and for safety reasons it had to be removed.
The tree was probably 120 years+ and was a sad day for the property owners when it was removed.
